Full of extensive sandy beaches and surrounded with varied colorful sea life, Bahamas is considered as Mecca for sun worshippers, divers and sailors alike. Although it is a part of Caribbean islands, Bahamas is an archipelago of around seven hundred islands. This island was initially inhabited by Lucayan Indians in the 9th century and in the 14th century it was explored by Columbus. Before independence Bahamas was the part of British Colony and this can be seen in its architecture and tradition after several years of independence. However, now the entire atmosphere has changed into a Caribbean style it attracts several tourists. One of the main reasons for this is its clear waters, sandy beaches and excellent hotels and resorts facilities.
