Hailing from a family of cricketers, Shaun Pollock went on to become one of the greatest all-rounders in cricket. With Allan Donald, Pollock formed a lethal pair and managed to rattle many a top batsman. His greatest strengths were his accuracy and ability to swing the ball either ways. Pollock was also a good batsman who could use the long handle to telling effect in the fag end of an innings.
Pollock proved to be a major impetus for South Africa for more than a decade. Post-Retirement, he represented Mumbai Indians, an IPL unit in the year 2008.
